How to use this tool
Choose one image
Select one still JPG, PNG or WebP image to split.
Set rows and columns
Choose 1–10 rows and 1–10 columns. A 3 by 3 grid makes 9 tiles, and the maximum is 100 tiles.
Check and save the tiles
Review the split boundaries in the results, then save individual tiles or download them together as a ZIP.
Splitting divides the original image; it does not add resolution. Tile dimensions can differ by 1px when the original dimensions do not divide evenly.
Common questions
Can I split a photo into nine pieces?+
Yes. Set both rows and columns to 3. Check the aspect ratio and publishing order required by the service where you will post them.
Can I split several photos at once?+
This tool works with one source image at a time. Replace the selected file to split another image.
What if a face or text crosses a split line?+
The tool divides the image exactly by the grid, so a face or text can cross tile boundaries. Check the grid and adjust the row and column counts or prepare a different composition first.
